DLS Inc specializes in revolver action jobs for serious purposes. There is a difference between competition only action work and defense action work. Competition only action jobs can result in light trigger pulls, but also cause light hammer strikes to the point where only specific types of primers can be set off. The action must be kept ultra clean and lubricated for reliable trigger return. Some comp action jobs result in sluggish trigger return to the point that a quick shooter has to wait for the trigger to catch up to the trigger finger, and causes the risk of double stroking the action.
Action work for serious purposes, whether it be serious competition or defense, will maintain all full power springs to help assure reliable primer ignition under all circumstances, as well as snappy trigger return. The action will be smooth, but will also take trigger finger effort to operate the action. Hand strength is important for top performance. Hand gripping exercises can help shooters improve handgun management and control while operating the action.
Mechanical reliability and safety must be maintained as top priorities. |

Dave Lauck at D&L Sports makes the best combat revolver sight set I've ever seen. I don't mean, "for the money", or "on the market today", or "in their category". I mean these are the best sights ever, at any price, on any wheel gun. If you're taking your safe queen to the range, the D&L Sports sights are a "nice-to-have" feature. If your life may depend on your revolver, they're much more a "have-to-have" item... |

People living in dangerous game states should take reasonable precautions and make reasonable preparations for encounters with dangerous animals. Avoidance should be high on your to-do list. However, you should also establish a last line of defense for surprise encounters and encounters which cannot be avoided. Learn from the experiences and mistakes of others so you can avoid having a 'negative outcome'. Watch ' Scary bear attacks', and other dangerous game encounters on YouTube in order to learn how dangerous contacts unfold so you can plan accordingly. |
