Thanks for the rifle. I shot it some on Sunday and it definitely shoots better than me. It functioned perfectly and the trigger has a good feel. A friend in the military brought his colt and you could tell a difference in the quality and performance between the two. He mentioned that your rifle was the nicest AR he has shot and handled. The gun comes apart easily and is straight forward on the mechanics and assembly. My friend also said he has never handled a gun with that tight of a fit, yet it still functions smoothly.

Hello Dave,
I did shoot the D&L Carbine. I could see that it is hands down the best AR I have ever seen or fired, period! 100% function of all rounds, brass seemed to land uniformly so ejection was spot on. I really like the rock solid hand guard, it gives me complete confidence that whatever I put on it will not budge at all. I disassembled it after 200 rds and could definitely tell that it ran a lot cleaner than a DI gunl'm'm sold! |

| Dave, I have been training pretty regularly. The D&L 1911 and the AR have continued to perform flawlessly of course. I had the chance to do some shooting with the D&L .38s that you made and I was very impressed. The sights that you put on were excellent, and it made a huge difference in accuracy. |

Hi Dave,
After 10 years of using the 3 D&L ARs we purchased for police sniper use, I am finally able to realistically look into buying one for myself. This would be a private purchase not a department one. I will be using the gun when I teach the NRA Law Enforcement Precision Rifle Course nationwide. This means the gun is going on the road with me to be used as an example of what I consider the best semi-auto .223 sniper package available. In my opinion there simply isn't a more rugged, accurate and fast precision system available for the urban sniper mission. |

Dear Dave,
Your pistols have served our family since our son was a baby. He is 22 now and heading for Afghanistan with the 501st Parachute Regiment. He is the SAW gunner for his squad. Sadly their weapons are crap. His M249 jams on a regular basis. He has your rifle book with him, and hopes to go to sniper school, which for 25th Infantry Div. is the USMC school in Hawaii. Very Cool! Thanks for all the info throughout the years! It has helped produce the next generation of shooter! |

We are finding that the D&L carbine works much better than the M-4 in the dust/dirt. We have had zero malfunctions on any of the missions and we have logged 4200 rds in 4 months.

| I picked up the D&L carbine on the 26th, in one word WOW! I only had time for about 90 rds worth of fun but I was very impressed with it. Probably the first thing that impressed me was how rock solid every part on it was, not one single rattle or even slight movement! Next was the great trigger, I guess I'm just use to standard M4 triggers so I was amazed at how crisp the trigger was. I didn't have the time or patience sitting out in the cold and high winds to do any accuracy testing but it did manage to make short work of a coyote that decided to stand broadside at about 150yds. No more coyote. Hopefully I will have time later to get you some real feedback on it but so far it is hands down the finest AR-15 I have ever shot. Thanks so much for everything Dave, by far the best Christmas present in a long time! |
