Knock Out Rods on Your AR-15

In the era of compact, lightweight and adjustable AR15 buttstocks the trap door fixed buttstock with a compartment for cleaning supplies and an emergency knock out rod has been lost. Shooters with field experience know how critical it is to have emergency equipment on board the rifle to keep it operational. This is especially true with rifles and carbines of the AR15 design with the deeply recessed star chamber. Keeping the internal workings of the firearm clean and or knocking out a case stuck in the chamber requires a rigid cleaning rod. A bore snake or flimsy sectional cleaning rod just will not do. Not being able to keep your firearms operational under field conditions could have serious consequences.
